Sophie's story is one of unspeakable cruelty. We received a message from a woman who had been noticing her neighbor's cat trying frantically to get inside their house for several days. When she went to investigate, she found that the people had moved and abandoned her outside and the woman could clearly see a litter of tiny kittens huddled in a corner inside. For days, Sophie had clawed and scratched at the windows and doors in a desperate effort to get to her babies and got her leg caught while attempting to squeeze through the back door. By the time we got there, she had a severe injury to her front leg. Sadly, her leg could not be saved and had to be amputated. She deserves a loving home where she can be certain that nothing like this will ever happen again.

Sophie is extremely forgiving. She is very social and loves all people! Her favorite spot in her foster home is on the arm of the couch right next to her foster parents! She is not at all held back by having only 3 legs. She can run, jump, and play with the best of them! Sophie is great around adults and children alike! Please apply to adopt this girl today!
