Ike is one cool cat! When several of our volunteers were looking at a house that had been vacant for over 2 months, this little black cat shot out of the bushes and demanded to come in as well. Sadly, the real estate agent slammed the door in his face and told her clients that this darn cat tried to get in each time she shows the property and she was becoming very annoyed at his tireless efforts to tag along. She was quite amazed when one of the volunteers promptly relieved her of the little pest by taking him home. We don't know whether this house used to be his home and he was left behind or if he just happened to see the For Sale sign and decided that he wanted to live there – it's a very nice house and we couldn't blame him for picking it.

Ike has since lived with many cats and dogs and has been neutered, tested and vaccinated. If given a choice, he would much rather be around humans than other pets, but has learned to get along with both cats and dogs after a period of adjustment. If you have room in your home and heart for this little affectionate boy who just simply loves people, consider Ike!
