Trix is an 8 year old Silky Terrier who has spent his life in a puppy mill. As you can imagine, this poor boy has never known love and human companionship, but he sure is looking forward to figuring it all out! He is very shy and scared still and needs a quiet home with a loving, patient family. Trix is house and kennel trained and would enjoy learning to behave all the time so he won't need a kennel. He is a very sweet boy who just isn't quite sure what to make of his new world. He has started to warm up to his foster family, giving a few kisses or a tail wag to let them know he appreciates being saved. Trix likes being around other small dogs, while he may not play with them, he does like to cuddle. Trix still has a long way to go to overcome the years of neglect and abuse, but with time, love, and dedication he can become your best friend!

Adoption Fee: $150.00

TARA's adoption fee includes: spay/neuter, age appropriate vaccinations, microchip, heartworm test and prevention (if age appropriate), flea prevention and deworming.  TARA's pets are all eligible for a two week trial.

Due to the fact that many of our dogs come from the local city shelters, we do not know the background of many of them and therefore cannot always guarantee age or breed.  Size is subjective but we use the following guidelines: Small 1-20 pounds, Med 20-50 pounds, Large 50-80 pounds, Extra Large over 80 pounds.
