Hi, my name is Nelson. I'm about two or three years old. I got lost one day and ended up on the streets, where I was picked up by an animal control truck. The officer took me to a very loud and crowded shelter and tracked down my owner, but my owner told him he didn't want me anymore and I could just stay there! I spent seven weeks in that terrible place, and I got really sad and lost a lot of weight. But I'm out now and ready to put all the bad memories behind me! I'd love to find a home with a family that appreciates what a beautiful boy I am. I'm gaining weight and learning how to sit and walk nicely on a leash, so I'll be all ready when my new family takes me home. I love to play with other dogs, but I'd probably be okay as an only dog, too. I'm just ready for somebody to love me. Is it you?

Adoption Fee: $150

TARA's adoption fee includes: spay/neuter, age appropriate vaccinations, microchip, heartworm test and prevention (if age appropriate), flea prevention and deworming.  TARA's pets are all eligible for a two week trial.

Due to the fact that many of our dogs come from the local city shelters, we do not know the background of many of them and therefore cannot always guarantee age or breed.  Size is subjective but we use the following guidelines: Small 1-20 pounds, Med 20-50 pounds, Large 50-80 pounds, Extra Large over 80 pounds.
