My name is Lilly and I believe they named me Lilly because I am so beautiful.  How does my story start?  Oh yeah, a week or so ago when it was 112 degrees out I was running down the middle of a rural highway.  That black pavement did a number to my paws and my pedicure, but that was the least of my worries.  I was running the wrong way down the highway just over the crest of a hill when I head the screech of tires.  I am so happy to say that the driver had cat like reflexes and new break pads so this story turns out well for me.  The driver opened her car door and whistled for me. FOR ME!  Yes!  I ran around to her side and jumped right into her lap.  Oh the AC felt so good as I was very much close to a heat stroke that day.  She drove the rest of the way home with me in her lap, I refused to let her soak up any of my AC.  She stopped at several houses on the way home asking people to come take a look at me to see if I looked familiar.  All I had on was a raggedy collar and not one that did anything for my complexion.  Nobody recognized me.  Some of the neighbors said that I was "dumped".  Trust me,  dumped was the best thing that could have happened to that relationship.  Nobody treats me like trash, well, except for my previous owners.  Anyhow,  this lady took me home and I collapsed in the cool house and drank what seemed to be a gallon of cool water.  She posted me on several websites for lost dogs and also called the shelters and put in my description.  Not a soul has called for me.  No big surprise there. 

I enjoy having human company and I really like to be around people.  My foster mom loves me because I didn't try to eat the cats, in fact, I could care less about that species all together.  I am also quite the lady and I am potty and crate trained.  I love the other canines and think they are a hoot to play with.  I am the little lady out there as I only weight 35 lbs.  I also just learned to swim and I love it!  It is so much fun and I love to chomp the water!  I am not much for playing any type of sport with balls, but chase is good fun.  I really like snuggles and I would like it if you would let me sit in your lap. I like car rides, but I hate overhead signs and overpasses as they make me duck.  Whatever engineer thought that was a good idea... My foster family is not sure what breed I am, but their best guesstimate is that I am cute whatever I am.  I am currently looking for a new family to call my own.  I think I would do fine living in a home with other dogs, cats, or as an only dog. I think they call that being a diva. I would be a great dog for an older couple or for a young family.  Please consider giving me a life I so deserve, I promise I will love you with all of my heart.
