I’m looking for my forever home.  Right now, I’m staying with some friends, but it gets kinda crowded here.  Don’t get me wrong, I love the other dogs here.  We love to play together and run around the back yard.  Honestly, though, these dogs can get a little loud and I hardly make a noise unless it’s really necessary. I am staying, though, until I am 100% healthy and find the perfect new home.   

The first part of my life really wasn’t that great.  I didn’t get all that much love and I spent all my time outside alone.  Then I got picked up and taken to the shelter with a lot of other dogs.  While I was there, I got sicker and sicker.  A couple people at the shelter took a special interest in me and found these guys to take me home with them.  Funny thing is, it didn’t take long at all for me to realize most people are pretty nice and I really enjoy hanging out with them. 

Anyway, I am about 6 years old and 40 pounds.  I am a pit bull mix, so if you are thinking about adopting me, you have to make sure it’s OK in your town.  I went to the vet a couple weeks ago and everyone told me I was the sweetest little girl.  Even though some of these other dogs here sometimes get mad at each other, I never fight or even growl.  I really don’t see any reason to be anything but a sweet pea.  I guess that’s how I got my name.

Adoption Fee: $150.00

TARA's adoption fee includes: spay/neuter, age appropriate vaccinations, microchip, heartworm test and prevention (if age appropriate), flea prevention and deworming.  TARA's pets are all eligible for a two week trial .

Due to the fact that many of our dogs come from the local city shelters, we do not know the background of many of them and therefore cannot always guarantee age or breed.  Size is subjective but we use the following guidelines: Small 1-20 pounds, Med 20-50 pounds, Large 50-80 pounds, Extra Large over 80 pounds.
