Hi, I'm Rusty. I'm a one-to-two-year-old medium-sized male mixed-breed dog. Some folks say my ears are my best feature. When they stand straight up, I look like I could catch the wind and fly away. I was found as a stray, and not a lot is known about my background, but it was pretty rough. I didn’t get a lot of love, and somewhere along the way I broke my tail, which healed up kind of crooked. But I'm trying hard not to be sad about the past. I have the future to look forward to, and I'm ready to share it with someone special who appreciates me. I'm a low-maintenance, mellow sort of guy, and I would like nothing more than to rest my head on your lap while you read or watch TV and scratch me behind my big bat ears. Because I’m learning how to trust people again, you might have to be a little patient and soft spoken with me. I get along well with other dogs and cats, I know how to sit on command, and I'm learning how to walk nicely on a leash. Mostly I just want to follow you around and keep you company.
