Mason was found running the streets during a torrential downpour and despite our best efforts, no one has come forward to claim him.
He now lives with me as well as several dogs and cats and is doing very well. Mason is around 2 years old, weighs almost 70 pounds, is 100% housebroken, non-destructive and very mellow and laid back. He is sweet with the cats and although he was instantly fine with all the dogs, he didn't seem to be interested in playing. I initially thought that he was just aloof and didn't really want to interact with them, but after watching from the sidelines as they rolled around like lunatics, he suddenly decided that he wanted in on the fun and now he romps and tussles with the big and small dogs alike. I can only assume that he has never been given the chance to be a dog and simply didn't know how to play.
This big, loveable boy needs a home where he can lounge around and live like the couch potato he apparently is but cats or another dog would be just fine with him. Mason loves to go for car rides, walks fairly well on a leash and loves to play with toys. He is looking for a home that can accomodate a gentle, unobtrusive boy who just happens to be a bit larger than the typical lap dog but gives the appearance of a substantial burglar deterrent
