Dudley is about 2 years old and weighs around 40 pounds. He has come a very long way from life in a back alley to co-existing in a home with other dogs and cats. This is a dog who defies the stereotypical image of a Pitbull.
Dudley loves cats and is comfortable with dogs he knows although it does take him a little while to adjust to strangers. When I first brought him home, he was scared and timid but has since adjusted beautifully to his new life. I was amazed that he never - not once since the day he left his hardscrabble life in a trap and set foot in my house - made a mess of any kind. He immediately went outside to relieve himself as if he was determined not to risk his good fortune and he has never chewed on or destroyed anything in he house. Basically, he is calm and quiet although he does play with the other dogs at times and he seems very happy to let the cats use him for a pillow.
He appears to be the type of dog who bonds very strongly to one person and based on my observations would do best in a home with someone who could spend time with him and a cat or two would be an added bonus. In general, he is very unobtrusive and undemanding - all he wants is a little love and affection from time to time.
