Slinky,  Stevie and Stuart were born in a shed and raised with little human contact or enrichment. They are now in loving foster homes learning how to be a carefree puppy, cuddled, walked, fed regularly and often to put on some weight. We do know the mom is a heeler and dad is a border collie so experience with herding breeds is a plus if you are considering these pups for your family. They are smart, like to be kept busy or have a job, so training will be critical to their ongoing growth and happiness.  

Slinky is blooming every day with her loving foster family. She is unsure what to do about the older, smaller dog in the home – is he a puppy or no? Slinky seems to miss the interactions of her siblings most as that is all she has known. She would do well with an active and playful canine in the home to guide her to more acceptable play other than just wanting to play rough with smaller dogs. Slinky enjoys the attention of humans and is learning that it is safe to seek them out. Car rides are new and a little scary right now. She will get the hang of it with more opportunities. Slinky will need patient, loving and fun humans to continue to teach her all the good things about puppy manners and living in a family.

Adoption Fee: $200

TARA's adoption fee includes: spay/neuter, age appropriate vaccinations, microchip, heartworm test (if age appropriate), heartworm and flea prevention, and deworming.  TARA's pets are all eligible for a TWO WEEK TRIAL.

Due to the fact that many of our dogs come from the local city shelters, we do not know the background of many of them and therefore cannot always guarantee age or breed.  Size is subjective but we use the following guidelines: Small 1-20 pounds, Med 20-50 pounds, Large 50-80 pounds, Extra Large over 80 pounds.
