Maverick found himself at the city shelter after his family moved and simply left him and his brother Brock behind in the backyard.  Luckily a neighbor called Animal Control and they were picked up rather than left to starve to death.  And even luckier that they caught the eye of one of our volunteers as they huddled together in their small cage, so they are both now safe in our program!  

Maverick is such a handsome, regal boy!  He is as sweet as can be, and gets along great with other dogs. Maverick weighs about 60 pounds and is around 4 years old so he's past all that crazy puppiness and is just a good, calm dog who would love to lay at your feet by the fire!  He still has a playful side too though! This beautiful boy is really the perfect family companion!
