Hello everyone! Meet Brecken! Brecken is a 2-3 year old smaller lab mix. He is only about 40lbs, so the perfect size! Brecken is a sweet natured pup with good family manners. He is excellent at "sit", "off", and coming when called. He is house and kennel trained. He walks well on a harness and LOVES to go on car rides. He also loves a really good run in the backyard. He enjoys toys and bones and does a really good job entertaining himself. He does do well with other dogs, but can come on a bit strong when he first meets them. He can't help it, he doesn't mean to be over the top- he's just so darn excited about a new friend. He does take a correction if he gets a bit too forward with his excitement- but it would be a good idea to have Brecken meet any resident dogs to make sure his excitement for a playmate isn't too much for your dog. Dogs his size or bigger would probably be best simply because he doesn't understand small dogs mean gentler playing. He knows one mode- "You wanna be friends? Let's wrestle, run and play with 100% speed" and that might be more than smaller or less active dogs may be ready for.  However, if you are looking for a GREAT medium sized family dog- Brecken is your guy. He is super chill and sweet with the humans in his life and thinks EVERY dog is designed to be his new best playmate! Please consider giving Brecken his forever home!

Adoption Fee: $200

TARA's adoption fee includes: spay/neuter, age appropriate vaccinations, microchip, heartworm test (if age appropriate), heartworm and flea prevention, and deworming.  TARA's pets are all eligible for a TWO WEEK TRIAL.

Due to the fact that many of our dogs come from the local city shelters, we do not know the background of many of them and therefore cannot always guarantee age or breed.  Size is subjective but we use the following guidelines: Small 1-20 pounds, Med 20-50 pounds, Large 50-80 pounds, Extra Large over 80 pounds.
