Sweet Mama Delilah has been the best mama to her four young "Queen kittens."  Delilah was found and being cared for by a very nice lady who contacted us to help her out.  We are so glad she did because Mama D had her kittens that very same morning under our care.  We are glad for another reason, Mama Delilah is about one of the sweetest cats you will ever be around. She loves affection and will "nose dive" her head into your hand and will do "circle eights" around your ankles to get some of your affection. 

Being a young lady herself, she is still playful and will chase wand toys and balls. 

Of special note, Delilah tested FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus) positive.  Cats with FIV  often have similar life spans to cats without it : Studies conducted in 2010 and 2022 found that an FIV diagnosis wasn't associated with decreased lifespans. In fact, cats can remain asymptomatic for years or even their entire lives!

Although FIV isn't easily transmitted between cats (only through deep bites and not via sharing food and other normal interaction), the risk means that  a FIV positive cat should only be adopted into a single-cat household  or a household with other FIV positive cats.

Adoption Fee: $ 75.00

TARA's adoption fee includes: spay/neuter, age-appropriate vaccinations, microchip, FIV/FeLV test, and deworming. A two-week trial is included as part of the adoption.

Because we do not know the background of many of our cats, we cannot guarantee exact age or breed.

Adoption centers may not have a volunteer present to open the cat enclosures, and we have foster homes located throughout the KC metro area. Please fill out an application if you'd like to meet this cat.
