Hello there! Meet the best beefcake boy ever, "Porterhouse"! Porter is looking for his forever home. This 2- or 3-year-old boy was on the list to be euthanized at a crowded animal shelter because there was no space left and his time had run out. Porter was saved at the last minute because we just hoped and prayed we could find him a family to love him and his big ol' gorgeous blockhead. Porter's heart is about the size of his head, he loves to cuddle and is a very mellow personality. He's not a runner, he is content going outside to do his business and wants to come right back inside to be next to the humans. There is no high-energy here, just a boy who seems to know he is safe now and wants to soak up every gentle touch he can get.
Porter is in a foster home with another dog and a young child. He is gentle when taking treats from the adults and the 5-year-old child and does not jump up on her. He is 70 lbs and strong, so he needs a strong handler when he is on a leash. Porter is completely housebroken and hasn't had any accidents inside his foster home. Porter is kennel-trained and sleeps in his kennel at night time or loose in his designated bedroom. He likes to chew on a nylabone, but he doesn't have any interest in chewing on the furniture or shoes. He's just a cool, big-headed dude who like to chill with his peeps.
If you are interested in meeting Porterhouse, please contact us or complete an application. He would sure love to meet you!
