Hello everyone, my name is Willa. I'm a young girl (maybe 10-11 months old), and I've had a bit of a shaky start at life, but I'm thriving now! I was rescued and taken care of along with my sister by a vet clinic. I was well taken care of, but missed out on some serious socialization. Now, that I am living in a foster home with this very nice family I am learning how to be a family dog. When I came here I was so scared and unsure, that I would run away and hide from everyone. Now that I've lived in a home for a few weeks, I've figured out that these humans love me, the other dogs are my friends, and will show me how to do things. I've learned to enjoy being outside and realize it's not a scary place at all! I'm still not so sure about all those stairs that go way upstairs, but they said it's okay if I don't want to go up them just yet. I get brave enough soon. My foster family figured out quickly how smart I really am. I have already figured out how to sit, lay down, and wait. I love food, and will learn to do anything for a treat. My other favorite treat is a little something my foster mom calls "water biscuits". I'm not sure but they come right out of the big silver box when it makes a noise and I love the way they crunch in my mouth! What I really need now is a family of my own. This family is wonderful, and they helped my sister find her forever family, so I hope we can find me a family as well. My perfect family would be around enough to help me learn to be a confident girl. I'm pretty gentle, so I think I'd be okay with kids. I know I do love other dogs, and I think living with another confident dog who isn't too bossy might really be a good thing for me. I like having someone to show me the ropes. If you don't have another dog, that's okay. I might just need a family who is willing to be patient with me and send time socializing me and teaching me that family life is A-OK! I hope you will consider giving me a chance to be part of your family!
