Walker is 68 pounds of the perfect gentleman around people and other dogs. He is house and kennel trained; sleeping through the night without a peep. He is a mellow guy and though he is not interested in interactive play with other dogs at this time, he enjoys being around them and interacting side by side whether that is investigating smells in the yard, taking turns for treats, or naps on the couch. He enjoys car rides and will let the neighborhood know he's on an adventure with his howling voice. He is silent when the car stops and at highway speeds! He loves walks and having his nose in the air. Walker is such a beautiful and loving hound. 

Unfortunately, Walker has tested positive for heartworms and Ehrlichia (a tick born disease) and luckily both are treatable with medication, extra care and attention. He has started treatment in his foster home. Walker can be adopted as long as you are committed to his care, restricted activity and appointments. Of course, we think Walker is worth it!

Adoption Fee: $175

TARA's adoption fee includes: spay/neuter, age appropriate vaccinations, microchip, heartworm test (if age appropriate), heartworm and flea prevention, and deworming.  TARA's pets are all eligible for a TWO WEEK TRIAL.

Due to the fact that many of our dogs come from the local city shelters, we do not know the background of many of them and therefore cannot always guarantee age or breed.  Size is subjective but we use the following guidelines: Small 1-20 pounds, Med 20-50 pounds, Large 50-80 pounds, Extra Large over 80 pounds.
