Grandma is a sweet 14 year old lady that still has a fire in her. Saved from euthanasia when the shelter she was at couldn't help her, her foster is working to put weigh back on, conquering a bladder infection, and get back to being a sleek black cat (with a touch of white on her chest!). When she's not sleeping, she's chatty and demanding pets or to be brushed.

Grandma does have hyperthyroidism and early stage kidney disease, but it's nothing a twice daily pill and low protein diet hasn't been able to control. She is totally declawed and is missing most of her teeth. Despite this, she seems to prefer kibbles over canned food. Salmon and catnip are her favorite flavors.

Adoption Fee: $75

TARA's adoption fee includes: spay/neuter, age-appropriate vaccinations, microchip, FIV/FeLV test, and deworming. A two-week trial is included as part of the adoption.

Because we do not know the background of many of our cats, we cannot guarantee exact age or breed.

Adoption centers may not have a volunteer present to open the cat enclosures, and we have foster homes located throughout the KC metro area.
