Born in April 2009, Merlot and her sibling Shiarz are the byproduct of someone's irresponsibility. Their mom was abandoned or perhaps left as an unaltered "outside cat" who wandered off. . .only to have litter after litter of kittens. Thankfully a volunteer intervened to stop the cycle for these kittens and their mom.

Although she is playful, she is much more mellow than her sister and will be

fine without another pet at home to play with. . .she will be happy to just have a human to play with and snuggle with...and wait until you hear her "motor".

You may see her in person at the PetSmart in the Ward Parkway Mall;

however, to visit with her out of the cage, you will need to make an

appointment with one of our volunteers.
