This sweet little guy had a rough start in life, he was living in an outside pen without much socialization.  When he came to us he was scared and not in the best shape, he was also heart worm positive.  Despite what he went through Sam is the sweetest boy!  He's still a little shy at first but warms up so quickly, he's such a gentle soul.  Sam has had his heart worm treatment and is doing really well in his foster home.  He likes other dogs, doesn't mind cats at all and walks well on a leash - he is just an all around great guy! Sam is about 5-6 years old and weighs around 30 pounds.

Adoption Fee: $175

TARA's adoption fee includes: spay/neuter, age appropriate vaccinations, microchip, heartworm test (if age appropriate), heartworm and flea prevention, and deworming.  TARA's pets are all eligible for a two week trial .

Due to the fact that many of our dogs come from the local city shelters, we do not know the background of many of them and therefore cannot always guarantee age or breed.  Size is subjective but we use the following guidelines: Small 1-20 pounds, Med 20-50 pounds, Large 50-80 pounds, Extra Large over 80 pounds.
