If you are looking for a sweet, affectionate little dog, Sally Sue may be your girl! She was surrendered to TARA because her family could not afford to care for her any longer. She was infested with fleas and frequently escaped the yard, as she was left outside unattended throughout the day. She got a bath and visited the vet for the first time in years. She is currently living with her foster mama, two canine foster sisters and even a kitty foster brother; however, she would really prefer to be the only canine in her forever home as she is an attention hog.

Sally Sue gets along great with children and adults alike. She is a great companion in the car, at home, and even at the office! She's playful, loves to snuggle up in a comfy dog bed and will sit on your lap contently for hours. She is also potty trained, crate trained and follows basic commands. Sally will alert you better than any Meteorologist that the storms are a brewin'! She isn't a fan of thunder and will bark to scare it away. You can also toss your fly swatter, because Sally is a pro fly catcher. All in all, Sally is a doll and any family would be lucky to add her to their crew!

TARA's adoption fee includes: spay/neuter, age appropriate vaccinations, microchip, heartworm test (if age appropriate), heartworm and flea prevention, and deworming. TARA's pets are all eligible for a  two week trial  .

Due to the fact that many of our dogs come from the local city shelters, we do not know the background of many of them and therefore cannot always guarantee age or breed.  Size is subjective but we use the following guidelines: Small 1-20 pounds, Med 20-50 pounds, Large 50-80 pounds, Extra Large over 80 pounds.
