Romeo was in horrible shape when he was found by one of our volunteers.  We feel like there was a real possibility that he was dumped.  He was microchipped, but the family never responded to our attempts to contact them.  Romeo was literally just skin and bones, and he had so much matted hair, we weren't even totally sure what breed he was.  As you can see in his pictures, he has cleaned up well and is a very nice looking little schnauzer boy.  His previous life was obviously filled with a lot of pain as he is not too sure about people at first, but once he knows that he can trust you, he is the most loving, outgoing boy you could ever want to meet.  He does great with other animals too!  We would not recommend him for a home with small children, but he would thrive in a home where one or more adults could be his best friends!
