Hi! My name is Nellie and I am a fabulous dog- my foster mom said so! According to the stories I've heard, I was driven to a car wash and dumped by the people who brought me there. The nice people working called Animal Control who immediately took me in and made sure I got taken care of. It was quite obvious to everyone that I had been neglected for some time, but my foster mom promised she'd fix me right up and find me a home with people who would love and take care of me. Despite my rough life I am one of the happiest and most loving dogs my foster family has ever laid eyes on. I'm very gentle and get along with everyone! I just want to be with my people and know that you love me as much as I love you. The vets treated me for a little infection I got from fleas (don't worry those pesky critters are all gone now), and my foster family is helping me to gain back some weight. The vets think I'm a lab mix and weigh about 45lbs right now- though I would look a little healthier around 50lbs. I am house broken, know basic commands like sit, stay, down, and here is the best part- I play fetch! My foster mom says I'm the fetch queen!! Seriously I LOVE a good tennis ball and can play fetch FOREVER! I can even catch it mid air! I always bring the ball back and when you tell me to put it down- I gently set it right between your feet. Please won't you consider making me part of your family? I deserve the best kind of family with a yard to play fetch in and someone to throw the ball for me! I'm sweet and gentle and so well behaved I promise I won't disappoint!
