Hi, my name is Gorgonzola, but my foster family calls me Zola for short.  I'm a 2 year old chihuahua mix and I weigh about 8 pounds.  I love to play, especially with other dogs (even when they don't want to play back) and my foster mom says I'm spunky (I think she means I have lots of energy, but I'm just so HAPPY all the time).  I'm a sweet girl who will curl up next to you and sleep while you watch TV.  I am a little shy around new people, so you have to be patient with me.  I'm kennel trained and mostly house trained, though I sometimes have an accident if you try to pick me up too fast.  My foster family is working with me to help me get over my fears and so far I'm doing great!  I was so excited the other day when I learned that stairs aren't scary and I can go up and down them!  I would love a family with another dog to play with.  I think I'd do best in a home with older children since I'm small and very playful.  You know you can't resist these beautiful blue eyes, so won't you apply to adopt me?

Adoption Fee: $150.00

TARA's adoption fee includes: spay/neuter, age appropriate vaccinations, microchip, heartworm test (if age appropriate), heartworm and flea prevention, and deworming.  TARA's pets are all eligible for a  two week trial  .

Due to the fact that many of our dogs come from the local city shelters, we do not know the background of many of them and therefore cannot always guarantee age or breed.  Size is subjective but we use the following guidelines: Small 1-20 pounds, Med 20-50 pounds, Large 50-80 pounds, Extra Large over 80 pounds.
