We almost overlooked this tiny girl at Animal Control because she was crouched in fear in the very corner of her cage, but when we found out that she was on the "list" for that day, we couldn't help ourselves and took her in. Praline is just what her name implies - sweet, sweet, sweet. She is now in a foster home with other dogs and cats; she sleeps in the bed with them and, at only 12 pounds, probably thinks she is a cat. At first, all she wanted was to sit on your lap and never leave your side.

However, after a few weeks in a home, she has perked up considerably and turned from timid and fragile into a little firecracker. Her best friend is a 75 pound black lab and to see the two of them wrestling around and playing is beyond comical. It's hard to believe that she is only about 9 months old because she displays none of the typical puppy mannerisms. She is also housebroken (although it is advisable that she be taken outside several times a day) and does not chew on things. If you are looking for a tiny dog with a gigantic personality, this is the sweetest Praline you could ever hope to find.
