Rainey aka The Walrus is a big, loveable oaf. At around 1 year old, she is still very much a puppy and doesn't realize that she weighs over 70 pounds. Having been rescued from death row, she is now in a foster home with lots of dogs and cats where she is positively thriving. This is the all-around family dog that most people envision when they are looking for a dog to be a member of the household and a trustworthy playmate for the children. Rainey is so good-natured that absolutely nothing upsets her; she has boundless energy and would be a terrific dog for older children who want to romp and play with her.
She is completely housebroken - she is so smart that it took only a day for her to get the hang of it - and she doesn't chew up much of anything, although it's advisable to keep her occupied with rawhides or chew toys to avoid temptation. Her ideal home would include another goofy dog or dogs, any number of cats as she loves them and treats them very gently and children preferrably old enough to be able to deal with a dog her size. If you are looking for the perfect family dog, come and meet this irrepressible sweetheart. >
