Meet Mavis! This shy but sweet girl was found as a stray and brought to us so we could find her a new forever home. Unfortunately, it looks as if Mavis was not cared for or hasn't been cared for recently. She is on the thin side, has missing fur-likely due to untreated fleas, and it looks like she's had pups at some point in her lifetime. Now that Mavis is with us, she would love a new forever home where she will be loved and cared for.
Mavis is very new to the shelter so she has not been introduced to any animals at this time, but that information can be provided upon request. She has been sweet with the staff but she is also shy and nervous because of her new surroundings. Mavis has been given her canine distemper and bordetella vaccinations, a simple dewormer and flea and tick medication. She does not have a current rabies vaccine and her heartworm status is unknown at this time.
Mavis will have an adoption fee of $80 with an approved adoption application. This fee will cover her spay, canine distemper and bordetella vaccinations, simple dewormer and flea and tick treatment. This fee does NOT cover the cost of her rabies vaccine or heartworm test, these additional fees are paid for by the adopter directly to the vet clinic at time of pick up.
