Honeydew came to us from a terrible situation in rural MO. Her mom Pippy had been dumped on a farm about 5 years ago and was allowed to continuously reproduce, we believe Honeydew to be one of her offspring. Though the farm owners were nice enough to feed all the dogs and let them take shelter in their barn, they weren't able to get any additional medical care for them. When we took Honeydew into our program she was nursing very young puppies, was quite thin and completely covered in fleas and ticks. We were able to get her into the vet to get checked out and she is now flea and tick free. She still needs to put on some weight, but her future is looking much brighter! Honeydew is such a sweet girl, she adores people and other dogs and has the greatest temperament. She is now done nursing her puppies, has been spayed and is so ready to enjoy the life she has deserved from the beginning!

Adoption Fee: $150.00

TARA's adoption fee includes: spay/neuter, age appropriate vaccinations, microchip, heartworm test (if age appropriate), heartworm and flea prevention, and deworming. TARA's pets are all eligible for a two week trial .

Due to the fact that many of our dogs come from the local city shelters, we do not know the background of many of them and therefore cannot always guarantee age or breed. Size is subjective but we use the following guidelines: Small 1-20 pounds, Med 20-50 pounds, Large 50-80 pounds, Extra Large over 80 pounds.
