Hi! I'm Sweetie. My name is no accident, I'm simply the sweetest dog you've ever met! I came from a rough life as a junk yard dog, but I got snatched up by some great people who have shown me how great a home can be! Before I was rescued, I injured my eye and have since had surgery to help make it better. Now you can barely see the scar on my eyelid and I have no problems with it. I love every person I meet and I usually jump up to greet them, but my foster parents are teaching me to be a little more polite because I'm a big girl. I'm a great watch dog, too! Any time there is a noise I don't understand, I will bark and come to check with the humans to make sure it's okay. My favorite thing to do is walk! Everyone is amazed at how great I am on a leash- I barely pull (only when I see a rabbit or squirrel) and always walk right next to my human. When we're done walking I am happy to curl up at your feet and nap. I sleep in a kennel at night and during the day and only made one mess inside the house on my first day there. I live with a doggie room mate who is my best friend. We share treats and toys with no problems. Cats remind me of squirrels, so it's probably best if I don't live with one.

Adoption Fee: $150

T ARA's adoption fee includes: spay/neuter, age appropriate vaccinations, microchip, heartworm test and prevention (if age appropriate), flea prevention and deworming.  TARA's pets are all eligible for a two week trial .

Due to the fact that many of our dogs come from the local city shelters, we do not know the background of many of them and therefore cannot always guarantee age or breed.  Size is subjective but we use the following guidelines: Small 1-20 pounds, Med 20-50 pounds, Large 50-80 pounds, Extra Large over 80 pounds.
