Rosie's current foster mom, Melanie relays  I met Rosie the day her family got her. She was 8 wks old and the cutest little thing…so much personality. She lived at a house I passed every day walking my dogs. Every morning, we’d see her sitting in her yard as if she was waiting for us to walk by. She’d run to us and let the dogs smell her. Then she’d come to me for a belly rub and a treat. As she grew, she got bolder about coming a block or two to meet us or follow us for a block or two past her house. Eventually, she’d follow us all the way home.  Since I knew she was allowed to run free, I had no idea if she was being fed or cared for. I’d feed her and then drive her back home. Sometime in August, she “disappeared”. There were several days that went by that I didn’t see her. I called animal control and learned that she’d been picked up. I knew that if she wasn’t claimed, she’d be put down. I couldn’t bear the thought of that. I made a few phone calls and learned what had to be done to rescue her.  I’ve been taking care of her ever since. She’s been a joy to have, but with two other dogs, it is a bit much. She needs her own family to love.    Rosie is around 8 or 9 mo old. She has been spayed, is up to date on shots and has been tested for heartworms. She was 55 lbs when she was spayed in October (probably about 60 lbs now)    She has always been around other dogs (no kitties though, please!)  and loves to play.  She loves being outside and walking or running. She is house trained.  Since I have two other dogs, I haven’t spent much time working with her one on one, so she definitely will need some basic obedience and manners training. When I do work with them, she picks things up quite quickly and minds for the most part.

Please help Melanie by giving Rosie a most wonderful, awesome forever home.  Please open your heart and home and apply for her today.

Rosie's adoption fee is $75.
