Are you looking for an oversized lapdog? Well you’ve found him!

This is Ronnie. He has had a rough life so far. He’s gone from one shelter to another and is now at T.A.R.A. He came to us heartworm positive, was treated and is now recovering nicely. It is safe to say that this poor little guy was mistreated growing up, which is why he is a bit shy. However, he becomes more confident and exuberant each day. He is very well mannered and quiet—he does not jump on people, chew on shoes or bark frequently. He is a fairly low energy dog that does not need much exercise to keep him satisfied. He is very smart and has mastered the sit and catch command.

At some point in his past he must have had a bad experience in a car, because he is very hesitant to get in one. However, a little training will help him overcome this fear and once he is in the car, he enjoys the ride!

If you’re looking for an affectionate forever companion, please consider opening your heart and home to Ronnie and fill out your application today!
