This momma kitty did such a good job protecting and raising her babies. She was a stray cat a neighborhood fed for several months until she had her kittens. She had a difficult time in the beginning and struggles with trusting people. She will run and hide if there are sudden movements or loud noises. Her love for treats will help her overcome any fear though! It may take a while but once she gets a little bit of comfort and trust, she will allow head and chin scritches, and her purrs will echo for miles as she enjoys them. It is believed she has an old hip injury so she prefers her backside untouched unless she has complete control and gives the approval. She just needs a quiet and patient home to become the most affectionate girl she is - she deserves to relax and enjoy all the treats!

In this first picture you will see the mama Dorothea and her baby girl Marjorie. They are quite bonded and will do best staying together!

Did you know that two kittens are better than one? It's true! When kittens are raised together, they play together, they sleep together, and they look out for each other. This makes taking care of us easier for you. Please consider taking home two kittens instead of just one. You'll be glad you did.

Adoption Fee: $ 100.00

TARA's adoption fee includes: spay/neuter, age-appropriate vaccinations, microchip, FIV/FeLV test, and deworming. A two-week trial is included as part of the adoption.

Because we do not know the background of many of our cats, we cannot guarantee exact age or breed.

Adoption centers may not have a volunteer present to open the cat enclosures, and we have foster homes located throughout the KC metro area. Please fill out an application if you'd like to meet this cat.
