About Poppy

  • Status: Adopted!
  • Species: Dog
  • General Color: Black

Poppy is one lucky dog. She was on the Animal Control euthanasia list with her eight newborn puppies, but on her last day in the shelter a foster family saved her just in the nick of time. Her beautiful puppies have long since found home, but now Poppy is looking for one of her own.

Poppy is a very friendly dog. She loves people and is always excited to make new friends. She always makes you smile with her happy kisses and frantic tail wagging. Give her a treat and a belly rub, and you will have a friend for life. She is a very mellow dog who rarely barks and can be bashful at first meeting other dogs, but she warms up quickly and has many k-9 friends.  She is housebroken and very obedient, knowing several commands such as “sit” and “come.”

Poppy is a sweet, loyal dog who deserves to find her perfect forever family. Since she is older and sometimes shy, she would do best in a calm, quiet home. Are you ready to bring this ray of sunshine into your life for years of love and loyalty?
