Carmen is an extremely sweet girl, very gentle and friendly. She has a great happy-go-lucky attitude and is so resilient.  You would never know that she spent 5 months in a small town shelter before being rescued. She weighs approximately 45 pounds, and has a soft, beautiful coat.  She loves to have chin, neck and tummy rubs.  She gets along great with dogs of all sizes, adults, and kids, (she has been around children 7 years and older).  She is easy to walk on a leash, and gets excited to go outside to enjoy all the smells.  She knows the sit, stop and stay commands.  She loves her chew toys and enjoys chew treats.  She is getting more comfortable with car rides, is 100% house and kennel trained.  She settles down easily and sleeps through the night.  Carmen loves to snuggle, gives great hugs, and will be your couch companion.

Adoption Fee: $200

TARA's adoption fee includes: spay/neuter, age appropriate vaccinations, microchip, heartworm test (if age appropriate), heartworm and flea prevention, and deworming.  TARA's pets are all eligible for a TWO WEEK TRIAL.

Due to the fact that many of our dogs come from the local city shelters, we do not know the background of many of them and therefore cannot always guarantee age or breed.  Size is subjective but we use the following guidelines: Small 1-20 pounds, Med 20-50 pounds, Large 50-80 pounds, Extra Large over 80 pounds.
