Dunn is a young fellow who enjoys both exercise in the yard and snuggling on the couch. He gets along well with most other dogs, loves to initiate a game of tug-o-war, and takes correction very well when the other dog is no longer interested in playing. However, we would not recommend that he be in a home with a cat or rabbit, due to his very high prey drive. Dunn is very smart and incredibly food-motivated, so he’s been incredibly easy to train. He does well in his crate during the day, and obeys Leave It, Wait, Sit, and a host of other commands taught to him by his foster mom. Although this handsome fellow seems like the perfect family pet, he would actually prefer to not be in a big family. He has very high anxiety when meeting new people and prefers only being around a small circle of humans (and preferably calm, adult humans at that), whom he has been introduced to slowly & carefully – he’s kind of a doggie introvert, one would say. We’re looking for a home for him that will honor his boundaries, not push him to be very human-social, and will help him be the best dog that he can be.

Approximate Birthdate:  06/2013

Adoption Fee: $150

TARA's adoption fee includes: spay/neuter, age appropriate vaccinations, microchip, heartworm test (if age appropriate), heartworm and flea prevention, and deworming.  TARA's pets are all eligible for a  two week trial  .

Due to the fact that many of our dogs come from the local city shelters, we do not know the background of many of them and therefore cannot always guarantee age or breed.  Size is subjective but we use the following guidelines: Small 1-20 pounds, Med 20-50 pounds, Large 50-80 pounds, Extra Large over 80 pounds.
